The Canadian Law and Society Association supports the exchange of ideas and the promotion of critical socio-legal scholarship.

The Canadian Law and Society Association (CLSA) operates across the country.  Since the 1980s we have regularly held conferences,  awarded various prizes recognizing top socio-legal scholarship, and provided support to graduate students.

Annual Meeting
Our 2026 annual meeting will be held on 10-12 June 2026 at Acadia University (Wolfville, Nova Scotia) with the support of Dalhousie University.

Mid-Year Meeting
The 2025 mid-year meeting took place 21-22 February and was hosted by the Faculty of Social Science and Humanities at Ontario Tech University, Oshawa, Ontario. Stay tuned for details about upcoming mid-year meetings!
